The Istrian Riviera is
characterized by miles of beautiful tree-lined coastline which affords natural shade along
side the warm and clear Adriatic Sea, loved by swimmers and sunbathers alike.
The area is famous for its traditional cuisine which is Italian influenced
and represents excellent value for money. Dining is considerably better value than
comparable European resorts. We would be pleased to recommend some fine local
restaurants.
The main towns on the Istrian Riviera are Porec, Rovinj and Pula all of which
show to this day the strong Roman influence on the region. Visit the 1st
century amphitheatre at Pula, the basilica in Porec and the Venice of Istria
Rovinj.
Nightlife the area is full of friendly bars, restaurants and night
clubs. In the high season the towns have a lively Mediterranean atmosphere
lively but civilized.
Facilities and sports in the local area include swimming (indoor and
outdoor), cycling, tennis, squash, gymnasiums, sauna, horse riding, soccer, miniature
golf, table tennis, windsurfing, scuba diving, water skiing, fishing, bowling, hunting,
archery, go-cart racing, bungee jumping, paragliding, parachuting and more.
Golf is available on the
Brijuni National Park which is 7km from Pula.
